Caldicot Linkage Update
Caldicot Town Team wanted to update its members on the latest developments with the linkage plans, joining Asda & the town centre.
Once again, delays by London & Cambridge have pushed back the project once more, with work now due to start in February.
An extra £23,000 has had to be invested into the project by Monmouthshire County Council taking the total cost of the project to £224,685. This is being partly funded by S106 funding and Monmouthshire County Council. Other associated costs are being met by the landlord, London & Cambridge.
Linkage work is now due to start on Monday 13th February 2017. this will be the 1st phase of the works, which will be focussed on the south side of the Waitrose car park (exit area) and the pathways.
This is due to be completed by 17th March 2017, where phase 2 will commence, which is focussed on the north end of the car park (entrance area)
The project is due to complete on Friday 7th April.
Legal documents, containing information about a fixed start date is yet to be signed by London & Cambridge.
We will be keeping in close contact with London & Cambridge to ensure there are no more delays and will update the website with a full program of works as soon as we receive them.
